We all have certain food etiquettes that we follow on the kitchen table.
Some people might be very strict about food habits while for some it’s just a waste of time.
And whenever we look at the British royalty, don’t you all imagine what happens in the Buckingham Palace during the dinner time?
Do they have normal dinners like all of us at home? Or are their dinner table filled with fancy, nicely decorated food items and dinner plates?
Well, we might not be able to give you the tiniest of details, but here are 20 insane royal eating habits.
1 Everyone Should Look Fancy during Dinner
For us, dinner time is the time we could enjoy food and catch up with our family.
But in the case of the royal family, dinner time is when you fancy-up, put on ball gowns and suits and sit down to gulp down the prepared food.
2 Prince Philip dressed down during meals.
Though the rule was to do dress up during dinner, Prince Philip, however, never really obeyed it.
He used to be so under-dressed that one time he was mistaken for the gardener.
3 The Queen Chooses her Menus 3-4 days Prior
The Queen always selects her meals from a menu book that the chefs prepare that included a variety of dishes.
She would pick her meals at least 3 days in advance and would stick to it.
4 The Queen Hates Wasting Food
Queen Elizabeth II hates wasting food and is against throwing away leftovers.
Instead, she orders the kitchen staffs to reuse the uneaten servings for any other meal instead of throwing them away.
5 The Queen Hates Garlic
Using garlic in any meal is strictly prohibited in the royal meals.
The Queen hates the smell and taste of it. And another reason for it is due to the frequent meetings with important public figures where they’d smell like garlic if they consume any.
