A glimpse into Screen Actors Guide Awards, 2019

Screen Actors Guide Awards honors the best achievements in film and television. The 25th Annual Screen Actors Guide Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, California on January 27, 2019.

The host of the ceremony was declared to be ‘Meghan Mullally’ and the ceremony was got it’s live broadcast in both TNT and TBS at 8 p.m EST and 5 p.m PST.

Here are some of the memorable pictures representing our favorite actors on red carpet. These actors truly were able to stand out in the crowd either because of their achievements or their performance which helped them win awards.

Emily Blunt

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as a couple managed to dazzle everyone on Sunday night. Blunt gave a heartwarming speech about the work experience she had with her husband while working in the movie together. John and the audience were filled with tears hearing the speech.

Emily Blunt won an award for best supporting actress for the movie ‘A Quiet Place.’ As Krasinski was the director and actor of the movie, working with his wife made it a more exciting experience. They were told that spending that much time working on a project could harm their relationship. Some speculations were even made saying it could result in getting divorce but they were closer than ever after this movie.

Black Panther

‘Black Panther’ won the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a motion picture at Sunday night’s Screen Actor Guide Awards. The movie had a given a cultural touch as it only had a black cast. Micheal B Jordan, the main antagonist of the movie was of the opinion that, “I think it’s a movie that stands against all film across the board. So yeah, I think if there was an opportunity (for a sequel), I think everyone would be pretty excited to come back around.”

They were given the night’s biggest honor and an astonishing question arises. Can the unimaginable happen and a comic book movie win the Oscar’s that is being held sometime in next month?

Sandra Oh

Sandra Oh, won the award for Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in Killing Eve. In her speech she said, “I would like to thank my mentor, Kim Gillingham, and all of the fellow creative dreamers.”

In the drama she plays a role of an MI5 analyst who tries to hunt a deranged female assassin and she gradually becomes obsessed with this mission. The 47 year old actor highly respected the role that she was given as Eve Polastri. However, this was not the first award she got for this role. Earlier this month, she won her first Golden Globe award for the role. She won the award for ‘Best Actress of in a TV drama.’

This Is Us

This Is Us won an award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Even under affliction they showed great strength, Hugh Grant had mocked the drama saying he has not watched any episodes and manipulated to divert the audiences attention to other nominees.

Mandy Moore spoke on behalf of the cast and she thanked the producers, actors, cinematographers and everyone else involved in the project. This was the second award given to the drama that night. Sterling K Brown had won an award for best male actor in the drama for his character portrahyal of Randall Pearson.
