“Back-To-School” Style from the Beckhams

The dark-navy slash-sleeve mididress that Victoria Beckham wore to celebrate the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle goes has gone on sale

The Instagram of the week went to the Beckhams. After the minibreak in Cotswolds with the Ramsay family for Tana’s birthday, David and Victoria fled to the Med.

Elton John’s yacht in France was calling to them. This is the picture of the pop superstar with his arm around Victoria, and she with her arm around David, against perfect blue sea and has earned itself the merit of 750,000 Instagram likes.

The couple then jetted to Monaco to make a rare red-carpet appearance together at the draw for the UEFA Champions League tournament. The tournament was hosted at The Grimaldi Forum. Instead of wearing the linen dresses and cotton basics that Victoria had been living in all summer, it was a form-fitting black dress. The dress has a plunging neckline and barely-there stilettos. An emerald solitaire pendant and single (giant) diamond ring completed the look, making her look magnificent.

The dark-navy slash-sleeve mididress that Victoria Beckham wore to celebrate the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle goes has gone on sale. Customer interest was so high after she got a prototype that her client services team have started surveying and making waiting list for it.

The demand for the dress was overwhelming. The dress promptly became part of the brand’s pre-spring/summer 2019 offering, and Beckham fast-tracked her production so that fans could purchase it sooner.

According to Beckham,

“I went to a very special wedding recently and wanted to wear something that felt feminine, creating a feeling of being appropriate for the occasion, with certain edge to it.” Beckham further said,

“This dress was the perfect choice, I felt great in it all day and knew I wanted to make it available for my customer this summer.”

The £1,495 dress is promptly expected to sell out. But for the ones, failing to snap up their slice of the royal-wedding fanfare can await a new drop in November. A red and milk version will be included in the official pre-spring/summer 2019 collection launch, as the “Victoria effect” rolls on throughout 2018.

With just two weeks to go until her brand’s 10th anniversary show at London Fashion Week, this seemed like a sign that the designer is sartorially getting ready to go “back to school”?

David, was also dressed in a similarly sharp midnight-hued suit. He received the President’s Award for his enduring football career. He is also going to be taking up his newly appointed duties as the British Fashion Council’s “ambassadorial president” this season.

David is charged with shining the spotlight on emerging talent, and Victoria taking one of the much-anticipated schedule spots. This London Fashion Week, the Beckhams are going to rule. We all wish that  the couple power dressing continues for a long time.
