BTS Is Going Global: One Award At A Time

We’ve all seen BTS, the South Korean boy band turning from a normal boy band to international heartthrobs. Their international fame started after their albums “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2” and “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever” entered the U.S Billboard 200.

BTS was previously nominated for the Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Award 2017 and they won. Their popularity took them to The Ellen Show. And now they’ve been nominated for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

BTS is nominated in the category, Favorite Global Music Star in this year’s Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. They are up against music’s heavyweights like Taylor Swift (North America), Lorde (Australia/New Zealand), Zara Larsson (Europe), Vamps (U.K.), Black Coffee (Africa), and Maluma (South America). BTS will be representing Asia.

The Favorite Global Music Star was introduced last year for the very first time. Little Mix won the award last year and one of the nominees was South Korea’s BIGBANG.

The award ceremony is set for 24 March, live from Forum in Inglewood, CA and will be hosted by wrestler/actor John Cena.
