3 Marijuana fights cancer cells
According to a Discovery Health article, marijuana helps to relieve nausea which has been extremely helpful for the cancer patients suffering from nausea as a side effect of chemotherapy. Also it halts metastasis to trigger cell suicide.
4 It prevents HIV from turning into AIDS
THC(Tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive chemical found in cannabis, can stop HIV from progressing into AIDS.

Marijuana helps to relax muscle tension and spasms and chronic pain. It is the ultimate cramp killer.
6 Less harmful than cigarettes
As mentioned earlier, weed is not addictive but cigarette sure is. Plus cigarettes damage our lungs and they smell so so bad too unlike marijuana.

Cannabis reduces anxiety, eases stress and helps us relax and hence helps us find inner peace.
8 Reduces chances of obesity and diabetes
Cannabis smokers have been found to have better-regulated insulin levels, and higher levels of HDL (good cholesterol), than non-smokers.
9 Not legalizing it isn't stopping anyone
Let's be honest, people have and will smoke weed whether it is legal or not.
10 Taxing marijuana can be profitable
'Legal Pot Sale' in Nevada projected raised $120 Million in tax revenue. And in Colorado the sales reached over $750 million, earning the states $116 million worth tax revenue. People are willing to pay up for the cannabis.
Instead of keeping it illegal while people spark it up anyway, the government could just legalize marijuana and raise tax from it! Just legailize it already.
